Warrina Aged Care is a 79 bed residence located in New Gisborne, Victoria, providing respite and long term care. We are located just off the Calder Highway, providing an easy drive from Melbourne.
We are excited to find experienced and drivenRegistered Nurses in charge for Monday ND ongoing to assist with the delivery of clinical care. Our aim is to provide state of the art, safe and quality care that optimizes choice for our residents and promotes independence and quality of life.
To succeed in the role you must:
* be a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* have a valid National Police check (specific to work in aged care)
* have experience in a clinical leadership role in residential aged care
* have good communication, planning, organisational, leadership, analytical and decision-making skills
* be able to work over a variety of shifts
Main responsibilities:
* Conducts professional care practice including; assessment, care planning, complex nursing care and the review/evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions, in partnership with residents/representatives
* Recognises the importance of history and culture to health and wellbeing when assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individual care plans
* Professional communication and relationships with residents and their representatives
* Coordinates the delivery of evidence based, person-centred care to residents according to individual care plans and documented policies and procedures
* Safe administration of medication, including the appropriate delegation to and supervision of Enrolled Nurses and PCAs administering medication
* Assists with quality improvement activities relevant to resident care on each shift and as delegated for example; the follow up of incidents, data collection for analysis, policy & procedure & practice reviews, product evaluation and internal audits.
