Morgan Consulting is partnering with a well-established manufacturing and distribution organisation as they look to secure their next Financial Accountant. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the incumbent will support group reporting, compliance, and financial operations. The role will suit a detail driven accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across consolidated structures.
Key Responsibilities
The Financial Accountant will be tasked with the following duties:
* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements across multiple entities
* Support group consolidation, including inter-company reconciliations, eliminations, and loan balances
* Complete balance sheet and P&L reconciliations with high attention to detail
* Manage BAS, FBT, and Payroll Tax compliance requirements
* Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset management
* Prepare audit schedules and act as the primary contact for external auditors
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
* Contribute to continuous improvements across accounting systems, controls, and reporting processes
About You:
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
* CPA or CA qualified
* Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
* Clear communication skills for liaising with internal stakeholders and auditors
* Minimum 4+ years' experience in financial accounting, audit or within a similar environment
* Strong understanding of consolidations and inter-company transactions
* Experience with D365 is highly advantageous
