Overview
Fire Protection Construction Project Manager, particularly one with a specialization in fire protection systems within the Battery Energy Storage or energy infrastructure sector is required for an exciting opportunity to help deliver Australian largest renewable growth sector.
Responsibilities
- Attending Weekly meeting and co-ordination design review.
- Overseeing installation, commissioning, and certification onsite.
- Coordinating with other trades (electrical, mechanical, civil) and managing onsite activities and scheduling.
- Ensuring compliance with building codes and standards (especially Australian fire protection standards).
- Stakeholder communication, budget and schedule management, and delivery of systems are essential.
Task & responsibilities
- Assisting in the design package and auditing, specifically the fire protection system with fire engineers
- Assisting in creation of Fire Safety Study and Environmental management plans
- Assisting in the development of proposals and pricing for Projects
- Ensuring commitment to local environmental guidelines and requirements per project
- Liaising with certifiers and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) for project sign off and completion
- Co-ordinating with other trades such as electrical, civil, mechanical to ensure a smooth process and project completion
- Reviewing project cost to complete and budget analysis
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement will be to hold engineering degree
- Project Management qualification would be highly sought after
- Minimum 3+ years background in fire protection, ideally with Water Mist and Gaseous Suppression knowledge
