Our Patient Services Team have several vacancies for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work as part of our team of Administration staff in supporting the hospital’s Admissions, Reception and Wards.
As an Administration Officer / Ward Clerk your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
5. Manage a busy reception desk
6. Answer and redirect calls
7. Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
8. Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits
9. Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
10. Perform Health Fund Checks as required
11. Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
12. Coordinate with staff from other departments
13. Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry to support nursing staff and management

Selection Criteria:
14. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
15. Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
16. Strong attention to detail
17. Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
18. Works well independently and within a team
19. Flexible to work a variety of shifts – early/late shifts & weekend work
20. Willingness to cross skill to assist in Preadmission, Admission, Ward Clerk, Medical Reception
21. WebPas Hospital system experience (Desired)
