Pastry Chef Job
As a vital member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional pastry items to enhance guest satisfaction.
* Prepare high-quality bread, cakes, biscuits, desserts, and pastries using best practices and equipment.
* Maintain consistency and quality standards for all pastry dishes.
* Stay updated on new trends, ingredients, and techniques in pastry and assist in creating innovative menu items.
* Train and coach junior chefs in the pastry section.
* Evaluate and reduce food and operating costs by minimizing waste.
* Lead kitchen pastry operations when the Head Pastry Chef is absent.
Key Requirements:
* Certificate III in Pastry or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a fast-paced, bulk production environment.
* Strong knowledge of kitchen administration and operations.
* A local certificate in Food Handling, Hygiene, HACCP, or equivalent.
* A passion for innovation and industry trends.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
