Brisbane community radio station, 4ZZZ, is looking for a part-time First Nations Community Engagement Coordinator.

The First Nations Community Engagement Coordinator works to implement and administer effective outreach programs aimed at;

* Engaging with First Nations community members and building development within the station
* Ensuring cultural safety and understanding across Station Policies, Procedures and Practices; including programming and events
* Advocating for increased representation of First Nations voices and across the station and its platforms

A two day, per week position, the First Nations Community Engagement Coordinator is a broad role whose duties range from organising outreach events to assisting in increasing First Nations voices across all of the station’s platforms. It is a developing role, which has some flexibility, that is expected to evolve with time and grow with each individual in the role.

The person for this role will have strong networks in Brisbane (and its surrounding) communities, impeccable communication skills and a keen understanding of how to connect people to 4ZZZ.

About 4ZZZ

4ZZZ is Queensland’s longest running FM radio station. As a not-for-profit community broadcaster, we have been reliably pumping out alternative music, news and culture since we began at the University of Queensland in 1975.

Selection Criteria
* Strong understanding of internal and external stakeholders of 4ZZZ.
* Outstanding written & verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to connect & engage groups of people in an organisation.
* The ability to engage First Nations people and communities who would benefit from 4ZZZ’s platform as listeners, volunteers, staff & announcers.
* Strategies and goals centred around increasing First Nations voices and perspectives across all of 4ZZZ's platforms.
* Experience in planning events centred around dates that are significant to First Nations communities.
* Experience in managing and training desirable but not required.
* Knowledge of 4ZZZ and community broadcasting sector.
