Job Title: Cybersecurity Governance Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Governance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems.
Responsibilities
* Information Systems Security Compliance: Conduct regular reviews of our information systems to ensure compliance with security authorization packages.
* Change Management: Notify senior management when changes occur that may impact system security.
* Security Coordination: Coordinate all changes or modifications to hardware, software, or firmware with senior management and relevant authorities prior to implementation.
* System Recovery: Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and procedures are properly restored and functioning correctly.
* Documentation and Reporting: Ensure all security-related documentation is up-to-date and accessible to authorized personnel. Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systems.
* Cybersecurity Training: Attend required technical and security training relative to assigned duties.
* Vulnerability Identification and Mitigation: Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and assist with implementing countermeasures.
* Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements and identify potential risks.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in information systems security, preferably in a government or defense sector.
* Proven track record of managing complex cybersecurity projects and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
* Possession of relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
