Wood is recruiting for experienced and qualified Electrical professionals in the Portland region.
We are seeking individuals with expertise in the following positions: E&I; Technicians, Grade A Electricians, Grade B Electricians, Instrument Fitters, Instrument Technicians.
To be considered, applicants must have full Australian working rights.Location: Portland, Victoria - site basedResponsibilitiesWork across multiple project scopes including electrical upgrades, instrumentation installation, controls system support, and hazardous area compliance in a live plant environment.Work safely in live operational areas alongside other trades.Contribute to transforming industries as part of Wood's projects and operations.QualificationsMinimum 3-5 years' experience in heavy industrial environments (smelting, mining, oil & gas or similar)Brownfield construction or modification project experience is essential.Familiarity with industrial instrumentationAbility to work safely in live operational areasVictorian Electrical licenceInstrumentation certification (for Technicians)Hazardous Areas ticket (within 3 years)Current First AidCurrent Working at Heights and Confined spaces tickets are preferred but not essentialPrevious experience in heavy manufacturing / industrial or continuous production environment is preferredProven teamwork, communication, and safety focusHigh attention to safety, quality and team collaborationPrevious experience with permit to work processes within hazardous areasProven ability to follow and imbue good HSE principles and behavioursProven ability to work within a teamPersonnel located within the Portland Region, or greater western Victoria is considered advantageousBenefitsCompetitive hourly rate plus penaltiesWork close to homeAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
