Job Title: Senior Research Specialist
The Population Child Health Research Group is a multidisciplinary clinical research team working across Australia and internationally. Our research focuses on priority populations, integrating care and the first 2000 days.
Key Responsibilities:
* To make independent and synergistic contributions to child health research within the group.
* Driving research strategy, collaboration, and outcomes as an experienced academic leader.
* To contribute to high-quality publications, competitive grant acquisition, and meaningful partnerships aimed at improving health service delivery and health outcomes for children and young people.
* Collaboration with diverse stakeholders including clinicians, health services, policymakers, academic partners, and mentorship to students, groups and colleagues.
Requirements:
* A PhD in health services research, epidemiology, psychology or non-lab-based child health research.
* Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
* Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact with clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence as well as the capacity for research leadership.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in translation intervention research.
* Proven ability to generate grant income.
* Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships.
* Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
