About the role
We're on the lookout for a reliable and experienced MC Driver to join our team in a full-time, ongoing role. This is a hands‐on, all‐rounder position where no two days are the same. While the core of the role involves transporting timber from Colac to Melbourne, you'll also support a variety of general freight operations including Woolworths and Bulla deliveries using refrigerated trailers. Position is AM shift Monday to Friday.
Key Duties
* Operate Multi combination vehicle safely and efficiently.
* Ensuring compliance with company policies, our customers and the NHVR safety standards.
* Conduct pre‐trip and post‐trip vehicle inspections and complete all documentation accurately.
* Ensuring product integrity and correct temperature control for perishable goods.
* Plan and follow delivery routes efficiently to meet strict delivery schedules and reduce downtime.
* Maintain strong communication with operations, warehouse, and store personnel to ensure smooth and timely operations.
* Adhere to fatigue management, Chain of Responsibility (CoR), and site safety requirements.
Qualifications
* Hold a current MC licence.
* Strong work ethic.
* Be punctual and reliable.
* Provide professional customer service.
* Be safety focused.
* Have a good knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation.
