Plant Ecologist Role Summary -----------------------------------
The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, analysing and interpreting ecological datasets to identify trends and their drivers. This information will inform evidence-based adaptive management practices in the Phillip Island vegetation communities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct research on terrestrial island ecosystems using statistical, spatial, and modelling methods to investigate vegetation dynamics and assess habitat quality.
* Collaborate with research teams and provide scientific advice on conservation objectives and on-ground management priorities.
* Communicate research outcomes through peer-reviewed publications and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
