PEER, in partnership with the Commonwealth and South Australian Governments and TAFE SA, is excited to bring the Shipbuilding Employment Pathways (SEP) Pilot Initiative to South Australia.
SEP is designed to increase Australia's skilled labour in critical trades within the nuclear-powered submarine, naval shipbuilding, and sustainment enterprises.

** About You You're motivated, reliable and ready to commit to a 4-year apprenticeship in the growing defence industry.
You enjoy hands-on work, problem-solving, teamwork, and follow safety procedures.
Strong computer and numeracy skills are essential.
About the Role Train toward a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical with a focus as a machinist through PEER and TAFE SA, with on-the-job experience at leading defence employers across SA.
You'll learn to: Operate lathes, mills, grinders and CNC machines Read engineering drawings Complete precision machining and fitting Assemble, maintain and repair mechanical equipment You'll receive full mentoring and support, plus a competitive wage, leave entitlements and superannuation.
