Senior DevOps & Cloud Integration Sales Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior DevOps & Cloud Integration Sales Engineer to join us here at Commvault
In this role, you'll be responsible for orchestrating pre-sales engagements with a strong emphasis on integrating Commvault's specialized products such as Clumio, Cloud Rewind, Cleanroom, and others into customers' cloud-native and application-centric environments.
You will act as the go-to technical resource for territory Sales Engineers, supporting engagements with application developers, platform engineers, and application owners, and demonstrating how these solutions are API-driven, automation-first, and designed to integrate seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
What You'll Do
* Serve as an ANZ DevOps and cloud-native technical expert for Commvault's advanced SaaS products, assisting core sales teams in positioning these solutions within cloud-native and DevOps-focused accounts.
* Work in partnership with SaaS Sales Specialists to craft territory plans and account strategies specifically tailored to cloud-native integration scenarios.
* Engage deeply with customers to understand their DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native application environments, identifying opportunities for seamless integration of Commvault solutions.
* Translate technical and business requirements into clear integration strategies, demonstrating how our SaaS products can be embedded into customers' DevOps workflows through demos, proofs-of-concept, and technical presentations.
* Foster strong relationships across sales, engineering, product management, and partner teams to ensure a cohesive approach to cloud-native customer success.
* Design and Deliver Tailored Proof of Concepts (POCs): You'll create and deliver customized proof-of-concept engagements that demonstrate how Commvault's cloud-native and DevOps-integrated solutions can be implemented in real-world customer environments. This includes setting up POCs that align with customers' CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices, and cloud security frameworks to showcase the practical and operational value of our solutions.
* Continuously enhance your knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), CI/CD tools, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and infrastructure-as-code frameworks to effectively support and educate both internal teams and customers.
* Represent Commvault at Industry Events and Conferences: Act as a key presenter and technical evangelist at both Commvault-led and broader industry events. You'll deliver presentations, demos, and talks that showcase how our DevOps-integrated solutions can address emerging challenges and trends in cloud-native and CI/CD landscapes.
Who You Are
* Demonstrable experience in pre-sales engineering with a focus on DevOps, cloud-native applications, and SaaS integrations.
* Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and container orchestration.
* Knowledge of public cloud platforms and cloud security architecture, along with the ability to guide customers on DevOps best practices and cloud-native transitions.
* Strong consultative selling skills that combine technical expertise with an understanding of DevOps and cloud-native business needs.
* You have strong knowledge of modern sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC and can effectively align your sales approach to these frameworks and you're comfortable navigating complex sales cycles
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Fluent English required; additional language skills are a plus.
