- We have an exciting opportunity for an
- **Op Shop Coordinator** in the Macedon Ranges Health (MRH) Shop "Opportunity on Hamilton" This is a permanent role on a part-time basis based in
- **Gisborne**.
- As an Op Shop Coordinator, you will need to evaluate, monitor and oversee all aspects of the shop, including supervising and coordinating volunteers, visual representation and exposure, as well as being responsible for takings, stock management and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
**Your day-to-day activities include**:
- Working closely with a dedicated team of volunteers
- Provide leadership and support in the management of the daily operations and oversee volunteers in the Op Shop
- Provide reporting to management on Op Shop activities
- Maintain a roster of volunteers for duties in the shop, including cover for absenteeism and a database of volunteers list
- Conduct one-on-one volunteer training for new volunteers and identify volunteers to undertake specific roles in the shop
- Provide and model high customer service standards, building relationships with donors, volunteers and customers.
- Coordinate the receiving of donations, sorting, pricing and displaying of items on the shop floor
- Develop sales and marketing opportunities/strategies for the Op Shop
- Supervise and meet with Day Supervisors as required
- Ensure a safe working environment whereby employees and volunteers perform their duties safely and adhere to all OH&S policies and procedures
**To thrive in the role, you will have**:
- Experience in retail and general knowledge of shop management
- Background with working in the customer service industry or a similar role
- Background in a leadership role or managing team members/volunteers
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a volunteer role or not-for-profit organization (desirable)
