About the work unit / facility
The Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL) and Day Procedure Unit (DPU) support cardiac services within Townsville University Hospital to perform interventional and diagnostic angiography, electro-physiology studies, pacemaker and defibrillator insertion on urgent and elective cases.
We also assist with diagnostic imaging such as trans-oesophageal echocardiogram and dobutamine stress testing.
Our team works closely with radiographers and cardiac scientists to support consultant cardiologists and advanced trainees.
The CCL has two laboratories staffed and equipped to provide 24-hour service to assist in the management of patients with acute cardiac conditions.
Normal operational service is Monday to Friday with on-call coverage outside those hours.
Competitive salary and benefits
Salary range: $107,960 to $115,604 p.a. (full time) or $***** - $***** p.h. (part time) (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading and *****% employer contribution to superannuation

About your opportunity
In this role you will provide direct nursing care utilizing clinical skills, education, and support to patients and nursing staff within the CCL and DPU unit to ensure best practice and quality patient care.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position and registration with AHPRA
Adult Life Support certificate: Must obtain and maintain an annual competency in Advanced Life Support as per THHSCLI****** Life Support Training and Assessment
On-call: Appointees may be required to participate in an on-call
