We are looking for a practical, reliable, and proactive Handyperson to join our team at a well-established large motel. This is a hands-on role responsible for the presentation, upkeep, and day-to-day maintenance of the motel's rooms, facilities, gardens, and public areas.
As the Handyman, you will be integral to ensuring the property operates smoothly and maintains its visual appeal. From fixing furniture to garden upkeep, no two days are the same. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will help maintain the high standards expected by our guests.
This is a casual role offering 30hrs per week, Monday- Friday.
This position is based in Maitland, NSW.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To
General room repairs and maintenance including minor painting and tiling
Furniture, door, and equipment repairs
Cleaning of public areas, paths, and garden spaces
Pool testing and maintenance
Garden care including mowing, hedging, and leaf blowing
Replacing light bulbs and air conditioning filters
Advising the Motel Manager when trades are required
Maintaining safe working practices and complying with WHS requirements
Key Performance Indicators
Guest satisfaction with motel appearance and functionality
Presentation of grounds and first impressions
Motel equipment and facility standards maintained
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Prior experience in maintenance, repairs, or a trade-related role
Strong practical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks independently
Basic knowledge of safety procedures and WHS obligations
A hands-on, can-do attitude and good communication skills
Gardening or landscaping experience is a bonus
Ability to liaise with staff and suppliers professionally
