About the Role: Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide trauma-informed care to children and young people with high care needs. The role involves supporting the development of daily life skills, education, extracurricular participation, and family and community connections. The position operates on a 24/7 roster, including weekends, nights, and public holidays. Part-time and casual positions are available. About You: You are a quick learner with strong interpersonal skills, able to build safe and supportive relationships. You assist with daily living skills, offer emotional support, act as a positive role model, and work effectively both independently and within a team.
Skills required: You have previous experience working with children and young people. You can build rapport with children and young people while maintaining professional boundaries. You possess the ability to manage difficult situations and behaviours and can de-escalate them in a therapeutic manner. You are committed to providing client-focused services that result in positive outcomes. You are respectful, empathetic and demonstrate compassion towards others. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are proficient in using technology and systems to meet compliance requirements. You are a team player.
