The Team:

The Funding and Commissioning team oversee commissioning and funding activities related to national and state strategic priorities and reform initiatives in the areas of mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and suicide prevention. The team works closely with a range of stakeholders (government agencies, consumer and family/carer organisations, the community sector, and organisations representing diverse communities) to support the delivery of serves that are strongly consumer and carer focused, high quality, sustainable, accessible, inclusive, and safe.

The Role:

The Policy and Project Support Officer will contribute significantly to the efficient and effective operation of the Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Directorate in the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures, and undertake a diverse range of project related activities relating to policy, procedures, and administrative systems support.

You will need to:

* Provide high level analysis of current administrative systems and policies and procedures to ensure consistency and currency to review, reform and improve operations and services for the unit.
* Undertake qualitative and quantitative research, including collecting, analysing, and interpreting data and preparing reports in relation to policy and procedures and administrative systems, maintain an accurate and comprehensive record keeping system that supports continuous service improvement and delivery of services.
* Coordinate and manage project related work, liaising closely with key stakeholders to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships by providing innovative options for consideration on matters relating to policy and procedures and administrative systems.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 10 August 2026.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $98,255 to $103,069 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
