Overview
Position Title: Payroll Trainee
Reporting Line: Managed Services Manager
Position Purpose:
Trainee role that will be mentored and trained through ADP’s Academy program to deliver high quality payroll processing and support to clients.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a formal payroll administrator training program
- Gain foundational knowledge of the payroll industry and ADP products and services
- Process allocated client payrolls ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Provide accurate and timely response for pay related queries via phone calls, ticket management and chat
- Resolve client issues and/or escalate matters as required in a timely manner
- Timely preparation of long service leave, terminations, retrospective payments and other payroll related payments and returns
- Contribute to client experience measures (retention and Net Promoter Score) and Win As One performance goals
- Identify and recommend continuous system and process improvements
Experience
- Customer service experience desirable but not essential
- Exposure in a payroll environment desirable but not essential
- Basic understanding of current Australian payroll legislation desirable but not essential
- Solid analytical and problem-solving experience
- Commitment to delivering service excellence
- Demonstrated effective communication to clients and associates (written and verbal)
- Sound experience with MS Office skills – Outlook and Excel
- Ability to manage time effectively with the ability to prioritise client needs
- Experience with ADP products highly desirable
Certifications / Qualifications
Tertiary qualifications or completing (Cert IV / Diploma/Degree within Business / Administration) is highly desirable) or relevant experience may be accepted and will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
