1. Acting as a subject matter expert for Council relating to the sentencing of records
2. Improving the accessibility and preservation of Councils corporate records across systems and services.
3. Supporting a large scale project to digitize councils extensive physical file collection to be accessible via a self service platform for customers.
Things You’ll Do:
4. Coordinate the resolution of audit and risk items related to archivist activities.
5. Use your practical experience and strong understanding of archival principles, processes and procedures.
6. Assess condition, type and method of digitization for varying records.
7. Reduce risk to Council by actively working with business units to sentence and dispose of records that have matured according to relevant legislation.
8. Apply care, control and preservation methods to records of continuing value or deemed State Archives
9. Manage and resolve issues related to specific archival practices.

15. Package: $82,500 - $90,000 gross p.a. plus 11% superannuation
16. Hours of work: Temporary Full Time 35 hours per week with option of 19 day month flexitime arrangement. Opportunity expected to be available for up to 24 months.
