**ABOUT THE ROLE**
As the Operations Representative for Exports, you will be required to coordinate the receival and packing of containers ensuring all shipping requirements at origin and destination are adhered to while providing the highest level of Customer Service to all customers. Essential duties & responsibilities as follows:
- Creating bookings & coordinating cartage
- Arranging consolidation of FCL/ FAK/ FCX/ LCL and break-bulk shipments
- Export customs reporting
- Issue correct documentation to customers and agents
- Hazardous, Customs & AQIS arrangements
- Job Costing, Invoicing & EOM closures
- Quoting & Customer Service
- Manage the preparation to audit job files with set time criteria each month
- Manage any dispute on Invoices or Credit Notes with overseas offices / agents
- Manage the income and expenses variance of the prior month within an acceptable range
- Optimize costs and revenue on all files
- Approve Vendor and Agent Invoices
- Thoroughly check Invoices against the Quotes / Tariffs
- Review the Profit and Loss of each HBL
- Ensure all files are closed correctly and with maximum profitability prior to end of month
- All files that sail from Monday to Sunday of the previous week are to be completed ready for closing every Friday
- Analyse & prepare EOM Reports; eg Loss Making / Prior Period for management review
- Develop & maintain relationships with customers & vendors
**WHATS REQUIRED**
- Demonstrated experience in freight forwarding operations is essential
- Export sea operations experience is essential
- Strong relationship building experience with excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Well organised with the ability to multitask
- High level attention to detail & problem-solving skills
