About the role:
This role is designed to lead the development and implementation of rigorous, high-quality, differentiated, and data-informed science curriculum and pedagogy for Anangu learners. It emphasizes cultural responsiveness and aligns with the South Australian Curriculum. The role involves culturally competent, authentic engagement with the Anangu community and working in partnership with site leaders and key members of the local education team to build the capacity of Anangu Educators, teachers, and leaders in planning, teaching, and assessing science learning.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be currently registered or able to be registered to teach in South Australia. If not permanent with the Education Department, applicants must meet the department’s minimum employment requirements before taking up an appointment. These include recognized teaching qualifications, registration as a teacher in South Australia, an active online application in the Employable Teacher Register (ETR), a cleared Education Department Employment Declaration, Australian residency or current work permit, Reporting Abuse and Neglect training, and an approved First Aid Certificate.
At the conclusion of a term of appointment:
* Permanent Education Department employees will be placed according to their substantive appointment and policies in effect at that time.
* Employees from other public sector organizations with a right of return will be managed according to the Public Sector Act 2009 (SA) and applicable policies.
* Applicants who are not permanent employees do not hold placement rights with the Department for Education at the end of the appointment.
Special conditions:
The successful applicant must gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check (WWCC) before employment, which must be renewed every five years. The incumbent will need to undertake RRHAN-EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse, and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) or online Fundamentals course, which must be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
STL2, $135,204 per annum (full-time) plus superannuation (11.5%).
