Senior Urban Planning Manager
Our team is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Urban Planning Manager to lead our planning operations in NSW. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to business success by providing strategic leadership, mentoring junior staff, and offering professional advice on urban planning projects.
The role involves leading a team of planners, ensuring correct staffing levels, and resourcing of projects. You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams and independently as a Principal planner on your own projects. Our team works on a variety of land development, infrastructure, and strategic planning projects across New South Wales.
Key responsibilities:
* Lead a team of Urban Planners, ensuring correct staffing levels and resourcing of projects, maintaining a high level of engagement with team members, and working with partner Team leads across other disciplines to achieve project outcomes.
* Develop project plans and strategies for the completion of major projects including identification of business resource requirements.
* Manage or assist with the preparation of strategies, reports, environmental impact assessments, and other planning documentation and submissions on behalf of clients.
* Undertake technical and quality reviews of documentation prepared by the planning team to ensure that documentation and service levels meet or exceed client expectations.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or Architecture/Urban Design or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
* Leadership experience in a consultancy environment or similar.
* Proficiency in urban planning research, data analysis, and report writing.
* Extensive experience in statutory or strategic planning, preferably within NSW.
