Job Title: Costing Manager New


About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Costing Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling the country business, specifically for standard cost determination and control, cost accounting, billing, and cost analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in managing and controlling the country business, specifically for standard cost determination and control, cost accounting, billing, and cost analysis.
* Support month-end close financial activities and work closely with operations to understand risks and opportunities, analyzing the impact on financial results and educating/informing departments on job cost variances.
* Act as liaison with corporate finance staff, as required.
* Collect, analyze, and determine costs of business activities (product, local services, freight, vendors, operational costs, and overheads).
* Interact with operations to ensure billing and invoicing are accurate and up-to-date.
* Review and audit costs to ensure they reflect the latest cost analysis and P&L estimation.
* Support and monitor cycle-count development.
* Analyze areas to improve in costing.
* Analyze actual expenses, products, and costs against budget, identify variances, and research/explain them.
* Report this information as needed.
* Work with the finance controller to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures.
* Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting business profitability (P&L).
* Support financial planner in budgeting/forecasting process regarding estimated costs, inventory valuation, and expense analysis.
* Perform ad-hoc reports to support operations.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Previous experience as a Costing Manager, preferably within freight forwarding, supply chain logistics, or similar.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask to meet deadlines.
* Excellent people skills and the ability to work in a team and independently.
