The Team: The Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIU) is located in the Royal Hobart Hospital, level 2 and 3K West. MHIU sits under the Mental Health Department (MHD) within the Statewide Mental Health Services' Acute Care Stream and supports adults with serious mental illness across multiple locations, serving southern Tasmania and those best suited to its services. The Clinical Coach role: Coaches and supervises novice clinicians to build confidence and competence in acute inpatient mental health care. Promotes safe, evidence-based, and quality clinical practice. Provides feedback to novices against organisational and best practice standards. Collaborates with education and clinical teams to support learning and development goals. You will need Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership to support the nursing management team, and to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Demonstrated ability to apply clinical knowledge, skills, problem solving and critical thinking to provide nursing care. Proven interpersonal, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide positive and constructive feedback to novices.
