Winnunga Nimmityjah Aboriginal Health & Community Services (Winnunga AHCS) is Canberra's only Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. Located in the heart of Canberra, we deliver trusted, holistic healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the ACT and surrounding regions. We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our service with a multidisciplinary team of over 110 staff.
Responsibilities
* Processing and maintaining accounts payable, credit card, vouchers, expenditure, creditors, purchase orders and register
* Maintaining petty cash float and depositing of cheques/donations
* Assisting with accounts receivable and reconciliation of bank accounts
* Processing and maintaining payroll including superannuation obligations with the assistance of the Finance Officer (Senior) on a fortnightly basis
* Assisting with managing organisations' fleet when required
* Ensuring the efficient operation of the finance office including filing, general office management and mail management
* Maintaining highest standards of professional conduct and integrity always
Qualifications
* Full working rights in Australia
* Experience with accounts payable and reconciliation of bank accounts
* Experience with Xero, Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
* Experience with payroll, accounts payable systems, salary sacrifice regulations and payments
* Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills
