Dhelkaya Health is seeking an experienced and highly capable After Hours Manager to provide leadership, clinical oversight, and operational management across the Maldon Campus.
This key role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high‐quality clinical care while providing after‐hours management and coordination of services across aged care, acute, and primary care settings. You will play a critical role in emergency response, workforce support, risk management, and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide after‐hours leadership and oversight of all clinical and non‐clinical areas
* Support the delivery of high‐quality, person‐centred care to:
* Aged Care Residents
* Acute inpatients
* Community presentations to the Primary Care Clinic
* Manage after‐hours emergencies and act as Chief Warden when required
* Provide clinical support and escalation for complex situations
* Ensure comprehensive, accurate, and defensible documentation of incidents
* Participate in staff orientation and identify learning and development needs
* Manage sub‐optimal performance in line with organisational and disciplinary frameworks
* Promote and support Occupational Health and Safety practices
* Conduct after‐hours risk assessments and contribute to contingency planning
* Support accreditation, quality improvement, and audit activities
* Promote financial responsibility through effective use of resources and staffing
* Assist clinical areas to maintain safe staffing levels in line with legislation, care‐minute requirements, and budget constraints
About you
* Relevant clinical qualifications and current professional registration
* Demonstrated experience in senior clinical or after‐hours management roles
* Strong leadership and decision‐making skills, particularly in emergency and after‐hours settings
* A sound understanding of clinical governance, risk management, and accreditation standards
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* A commitment to ongoing professional development
