Salary: From $86,575 per annum + 12% superannuation
Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Due to a period of parental leave, our Finance Team is seeking a Senior Payroll Officer.
Purpose
To deliver accurate and efficient payroll services for Council, including the maintenance of employee payroll records, superannuation and leave liabilities, while providing high‐quality accounting and administrative support to the Expenditure Team.
About The Role
* Deliver accurate and timely payroll services, including fortnightly pay runs, statutory deductions, superannuation, leave, and terminations, in line with awards, contracts and agreements.
* Provide high‐quality payroll advice and support to employees, managers and internal stakeholders, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and excellent customer service.
* Maintain payroll systems, reporting and compliance, including data entry, regular and ad‐hoc reports, collaboration across Council, and contributing to payroll improvements and special projects.
About You
* You have demonstrated experience in payroll, with a strong understanding of payroll processes and the ability to deliver accurate, compliant outcomes in a deadline‐driven environment.
* You bring strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide clear, accurate payroll advice and support to employees and managers at all levels.
* You demonstrate a high level of accuracy, integrity and discretion, with proven ability to manage confidential information, prioritise workloads and maintain quality standards.
