Work Environment
The Sunshine Coast Police Prosecution Corps is a medium-sized establishment with a diverse team of sworn and civilian prosecutors, supported by administration staff. We provide a prosecution service within the North Coast Region, serving the Maroochydore Magistrates Court District, Nambour Magistrates Court, Noosa Magistrates Court, and Caloundra Magistrates Court through satellite offices.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a prosecution service for the designated area of responsibility.
* Represent the Queensland Police Service and its members in court proceedings.
* Offer legal advice on court processes and related matters.
* Monitor briefs of evidence provided by police to ensure high quality.
* Liaise with various stakeholders to establish effective working relationships.
* Contribute to the development of legal research, arguments, and submissions.
* Maintain high standards of performance and conduct in daily work activities.
Requirements
* Admission as a legal practitioner in the State of Queensland or eligibility for immediate admission.
* Current application status for 12 months.
