Pacific Bay Resort is currently looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Handyperson to join the Maintenance department and assist in maintaining the Resort's buildings, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings to protect the assets and ensure it remains functional, pleasant and a safe environment for all guests, visitors and other staff.
Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the team in the day to day general and preventative maintenance of the property and equipment, including guest rooms, such as building maintenance, painting and plumbing, checks/services, repairs and daily upkeep.
You will undertake general maintenance, repairs and project work as directed by the Facilities Manager and ensure the safe and efficient use of equipment and materials placed under your control.
To be successful in this role, candidates will have to demonstrate they have the following Essential and Desirable criteria.
Essential
* Proven experience in general maintenance activities
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent presentation and personal grooming standards
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to stay on task, work to a schedule and prioritise multiple tasks
* Current class 'C' NSW drivers Licence
* Physically fit and capable of sustained walking, standing, lifting and carrying and operating a range of equipment and machinery
Desirable
* Trade qualifications in painting, waterproofing, plastering, tiling or concreting will all be considered favourably
* Previous maintenance experience in a hotel/resort environment
* LR Drivers Licence
* Some knowledge of NSW Work Health and Safety legislation
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
