About the Role
As an Assistant Manager within our Audit & Assurance team, you will play a key role in leading audit engagements, supporting the development of junior team members, and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients. Working closely with our Managers and Directors, you will take ownership of engagements from planning through to completion, while also acting as a key point of contact for clients. You will contribute to workflow management, technical review and team leadership, ensuring work is delivered accurately, efficiently and in line with professional standards.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced auditor who is looking to accelerate their progression, with a clear pathway and support to move into a Manager role in the near term.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Leading audit and assurance engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
* Reviewing work, providing technical guidance, and supporting the development of junior team members
* Managing workflow, budgets and timelines across multiple engagements while maintaining strong client relationships
* Ensuring compliance with audit standards and contributing to quality assurance processes across the team
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives, team development, and contributing to broader client growth opportunities
About you
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong experience within Audit & Assurance, with a solid understanding of audit methodology, accounting standards, and professional practice environments. You will be CA/CPA qualified and bring experience managing engagements end-to-end, along with supporting and developing junior team members.
With a hands-on approach, you are confident leading engagements, building strong client relationships, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You are organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
The ability to contribute positively to a collaborative team environment, will be key to success in this role. Experience working with larger client groups, complex structures or multi-entity environments will be highly regarded.
