The Opportunity In your role as a Vehicle Technician, you will be authorized and responsible for the following on all European makes and models of car:Conducting full examinations of vehicles (including vehicle health checks)Identify non-routine defects and faults in the workshop or during vehicle road testsTechnical knowledge to confidently and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of customer vehiclesStrong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things right the first timePerform complex diagnostic testing and repairs, including replacement of timing chains, engine replacements and other required workRepair and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with technical standardsProvide knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all colleagues and workshop customersWork closely with the front-of-house service team, informing them of progress and work completedDiscuss technical issues/works directly with customers when requestedOffer technical advice and support as requiredCollaborate with the wider workshop team to design and implement new methods of work to improve efficiency What We Offer Full-time position in a modern, well-equipped workshop with flexible practices, including a 4-day week and Christmas shutdownCompetitive salary package based on experience and qualificationsOpportunity to work on premium European vehiclesProfessional development and growth opportunities About You You will need to be an experienced Vehicle Technician who is passionate and cares about their workmanship.Have Light Vehicle Automotive Qualification (Trade Certificate) / Level 3 / or EquivalentCurrent C class manual drivers licencePhysically fit and able to meet manual requirementsAbility to work within defined processes and guidelines, and to promote best practice throughout the workshopBe customer focused, with good communication skills to explain technical information to non-technical audiencesHave a first-time fix mentality, with openness and transparencyCommitted to the development of your technical knowledge and skillsBe a team player, mentoring or supporting other techniciansHave a passion for the industry and a desire to succeed About Company At Long Jetty Mechanical, a family-run business hailing from Liverpool in the UK, we pride ourselves on being a trusted and customer-focused automotive workshop serving the Busselton community and surrounding areas.
