Established in the Perth market for over two decades, our client is a highly regarded, privately owned property group specialising in retail and commercial assets. With a substantial portfolio already under management and continued growth planned, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Trust Accountant to support their expanding operations.
Based in their modern office, conveniently located in Perth's southern suburbs, this role will suit a detail-oriented Commercial Trust Accountant who enjoys working in a stable, collaborative environment and has a solid understanding of commercial and retail property accounting.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end administration of trust accounts across a commercial/retail portfolio
* Daily, weekly and monthly trust account bank reconciliations
* Processing receipts, disbursements and creditor invoices
* Inputting charges including letting fees, lease renewals, advertising and outgoings
* Managing rent roll accounting and owner/landlord statements
* Uploading and maintaining property budgets
* Processing exchange and settlement monies
* Rental adjustments, refunds and reconciliations
* Liaising with internal property management teams and external stakeholders
The Successful Candidate Will Have
* Proven experience in Commercial and/or Retail Trust Accounting
* Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
* Strong understanding of commercial leases and trust compliance
* Ideally hold a Certificate IV in Accounting, Bookkeeping or similar
* A proactive, team-focused approach and strong communication skills
