Lake Joondalup Baptist College seeks to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Mathematics Teacher who believes all students can be successful. The successful candidate will have the qualifications and personal qualities needed to welcome, inspire and teach students effectively and competently as they implement the Australian Curriculum.
This is a part time (0.6 FTE) fixed term contract commencing in July 2026 until December 2026 (with possibility of extension).
The successful applicant must have the capacity to build effective relationships with students, staff and parents to enhance student wellbeing and outcomes.
Essential Criteria for this Role
* A practicing Christian, actively involved in a church community, with a clear commitment to teaching and modelling Christian values.
* Demonstrate the ability to teach Secondary Mathematics preferably upper school, with an in-depth understanding of curriculum requirements and best practices.
* Exhibit strong competence in integrating Information and STEM Pedagogical Development.
* Develop and implement effective STEM‐based teaching approaches, fostering students' critical thinking, problem‐solving, and collaborative skills in mathematics and related fields.
* A coherent and well‐articulated philosophy of education for Secondary students, demonstrated through classroom practice and engagement with students' learning journeys.
* Expertise in developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum, with advanced skills in applying technology as a tool for learning, teaching, and classroom management.
