We are looking for highly skilled disability professionals with mental health experience to support our client with complex health needs in North Ryde. 21st May, 2025 We have a permanent part-time opportunity for a Disability Support Worker to join our team on a 24/7 rotating roster. This service provides 3:1 and 2:1 support for a client with complex health needs. Role Responsibilities: Provide a respectful, enjoyable, and safe environment for all supported individuals. Assist with personal and physical care, including grooming, toileting, meal prep, home support, transport, and medication administration. Support the use of physical and communication aids and devices as needed. Enable clients to participate in personal interests, hobbies, and community relationships. Assist clients in accessing recreational and transport services, including public transport, taxis, and Achieve vehicles. Advocate for clients and support their engagement with the community. Complete client documentation, including case notes, management system updates, communication booklets, and medical records. To be successful in this role, you will need: Relevant qualifications (minimum Cert IV in Disability or Individual Support). Strong interpersonal, role modeling, and customer service skills. Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing environments. Understanding of NDIS, Code of Conduct, and Workplace Health and Safety. Awareness of human rights and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. Ability to transport clients in Achieve vehicles (automatic gearbox); a current NSW driver's license is required or subject to a risk assessment if absent.
