Job Description
The Automation team within our Technology Department ensures that systems controlling operational manufacturing equipment and devices are configured, adjusted, and monitored according to production and engineering teams' requirements.
The Automation team works closely with Production and Engineering stakeholders to identify requirements, design, and plan work, ensuring all systems operate effectively and efficiently in support of our business objectives.
We operate across two sites at multiple locations, requiring flexible working hours for maximum availability and utilisation of manufacturing equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, manage, monitor, and maintain all Control System hardware, software, and devices across our sites.
* Ensure all stakeholders' voices are incorporated into planning.
* Work with automation engineers to translate business processes into actionable automation controls.
* Communicate with Senior Managers and Executives about work packages' status and progress.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential qualifications include an Electrical trade qualification with a current unrestricted electrical licence and Associate Diploma or degree in Electronic Engineering or Process Control Electronic Engineering.
Proficiency in various PLC, SCADA, Servo Drives, Communication systems, Instrumentation, and preferred experience with Citect SCADA, Schneider, AB, OMRON, Siemens PLC, and HMIMS are required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong numeracy skills, good organisation, and time management skills are also essential.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in FMCG or similar industries is necessary.
