What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager will oversee all aspects of financial management across our core operations and newly established venue business. This is a hands-on leadership role, balancing strategic oversight with day-to-day finance operations and team management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Prepare monthly management accounts and insightful reports for the Board and Committees.
* Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory, audit, and regulatory requirements.
* Manage a small finance team, fostering a high-performance and service-oriented culture.
* Partner with business unit leaders to build financial acumen and support decision-making.
* Supporting the leadership team with financial analysis and advice for decision-making.
* Build financial capability across the organisation through training and support.
About You
You are a CPA/CA qualified finance professional with proven experience managing diverse revenue streams and delivering clear financial insights, ideally within the sports or events sector. You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience in end-to-end financial management and reporting.
* Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality reporting and meaningful insights to assist management decision making.
* Leadership skills to mentor a small team and collaborate across departments.
* High level of integrity and confidentiality.
* Proficiency with accounting systems (Xero desirable) and experience with Power BI dashboarding (highly regarded).
* Be comfortable dealing with senior management and Board directors.
