Sundale is seeking a dynamic Kitchen Team Lead to oversee the catering operations at our Boyne Island facility, ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious, delicious meals every day.
This diverse permanent full-time role will involve a balance of office-based tasks and hands-on kitchen duties working across 5 days a week, Monday to Friday.

Your Impact
As Kitchen Team Lead, you'll lead a dedicated team to deliver high-quality meals tailored to the needs of our residents.
You'll balance hands-on kitchen work with strategic oversight, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in every dish served.
What You'll Do
Lead and inspire kitchen staff to deliver exceptional food service
Plan and execute seasonal, dietician-approved menus (including IDDSI texture-modified diets) that meet residents' tastes, preferences, and dietary needs
Manage food safety compliance (HACCP), audits, and accreditation standards
Oversee inventory, ordering, rostering, and budget control
Collaborate with clinical teams, residents, and families to ensure satisfaction
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
Hands-on role both in kitchen and office
Drive continuous improvement in kitchen operations and staff development
About You
Ability to lead a successful team and have a strong sense of ownership and responsibility of the team's overall performance
Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
High standard of food preparation and productivity
Strong understanding of aged-care catering standards
Experience in budget management and cost control
Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management skills
Compassionate, resident-focused approach
Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Police Check
