Senior Technical Business Analyst I Geelong (3 days in the office)
Contract: until Until 30/06/2026 plus potential extensions Rate: $870 per day plus superannuation
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Business Analyst to support a major Oracle platform upgrade, transitioning legacy Oracle services to Oracle 19c.
In this role, you will work closely with our Solution Architect and external vendors, leading the definition, documentation, and validation of technical requirements in a complex enterprise environment.
About the role Define and manage technical and functional requirements for the upgrade of legacy Oracle platforms to 19cAnalyse impacts of deprecated features, job-chain dependencies, and platform interdependenciesIdentify and document critical inventory and source-of-truth data required for compatibility assessments, configuration, and testingAct as the key liaison between architecture, infrastructure, and vendor teams
Key selection criteria Strong understanding of Oracle systems infrastructureProven experience with Oracle database upgrades and migrations in complex environmentsDeep knowledge of impact assessments, including deprecated features and dependency managementStrong capability in capturing inventory, configuration, and compatibility data required for upgrade planning and executionTechnology projects with critical application, infrastructure, and integration interdependenciesFamiliarity with Oracle-centric security, access controls, and compliance requirementsFamiliarity with Oracle upgrade path methodologies and best practices
