We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager who will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications to drive forward our marketing and communications strategy, bringing strong digital marketing expertise, copywriting, publishing, and relationship‐building skills to the team. In an agile team of three, the incumbent will play a key role within an integrated marketing and communications function in a large and complex not‐for‐profit organisation. This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional with at least five years' experience and a strong mix of communications and marketing skills.
The Role
The Marketing and Communications Manager is a full‐time role within the Marketing and Communications Team, reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications. A degree‐qualified, creative individual with outstanding writing skills and attention to detail would thrive in this role which combines both strategic input and hands‐on execution.
Key Activities
* Publications and Communications: Work closely with contributors and suppliers to deliver excellent publications (print and digital) that drive a more streamlined and engaging experience for community members across the customer lifecycle
* Digital Marketing and CRM: Implement, measure and report on campaigns across social and digital channels, leveraging the CRM to improve engagement and efficiency
* Content Creation: Develop engaging social media content, website updates, blogs and other communications materials
* Photography and Videography: Capture and assist with photo and video shoots to support marketing and community engagement
* Event and Advertising Management: Support the promotion and organisation of school events and manage paid advertising across print, digital and programmatic channels
* Strategy and Cross‐Department Support: Assist the Director in implementing the Marketing and Communications Strategy and provide marketing guidance to other departments
* School and Child Safety Participation: Attend key school events and uphold all child safety policies and training requirements
Key Selection Criteria
* A bachelor's degree in communications, public relations or marketing, and at least five years' relevant experience in a marketing and communications role
* Proven success delivering multi‐channel marketing and communications campaigns that drive engagement, event participation and/or enquiries
* Excellent copywriting, proofreading and publication management skills across print and digital channels
* Strong digital marketing capability, including experience with social media, email marketing, CRM and website content management systems
* Demonstrated ability to build effective stakeholder relationships, manage competing priorities and represent an organisation professionally and ethically
