The Opportunity
HealthShare NSW is seeking an experienced and visionary Director, Patient Transport Service (PTS) to lead the planning, development, and delivery of both the Patient Transport Service (PTS) and Make Ready Service (MRS) functions. This pivotal leadership role serves as the central point of coordination for PTS across the state, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and with strong value for money.
As Director, you will be responsible for strategic oversight and the implementation of innovative, patient-centred transport solutions across a large, complex health system. You'll lead high-performing teams, foster a culture of excellence, and contribute to the broader goals of NSW Health by enhancing operational performance and patient care outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Extensive experience in the delivery of patient transport services or a comparable service within a large, complex environment
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent, with a proven record of delivering impactful strategic initiatives
* Strong professional leadership skills, including the ability to build effective teams, align operations with organisational values, and manage both people and financial resources effectively
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage, negotiate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders
* Superior analytical and conceptual thinking, with the ability to interpret complex data, develop innovative solutions, and drive business-focused outcomes
