Job Summary
We are seeking a Revenue Accounting Specialist to oversee all aspects of revenue recognition and billing processes for Max Life Care. The successful candidate will optimize revenue performance, ensure timely and accurate invoicing, and reconcile billing discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
* Revenue Recognition and Billing: Manage all aspects of revenue recognition and billing processes, including optimizing revenue performance.
* Invoicing: Ensure timely and accurate invoicing using PRODA, PACE, and Xero accounting systems while monitoring outstanding receivables.
* Billing Discrepancies: Reconcile billing discrepancies as needed, including reviewing funding management levels.
* Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, including NDIS financial guidelines, and participate in NDIS or financial audits as required.
* Revenue and Billing Data: Review and verify the accuracy of revenue and billing data, ensuring adherence to accounting standards and company policies.
* Revenue and Billing Trends: Analyze revenue and billing trends, identify areas for improvement, and recommend process enhancements.
* Month-End Closing Procedures: Assist with month-end closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for revenue and billing accounts.
* Financial Reports: Help prepare financial reports, including data visualization and analysis of financial information to provide insights.
* New Billing System: Support the implementation of a new billing system.
Requirements
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue accounting, billing, accounts receivable, or similar roles.
* Data Analysis: A passion for data analysis and process improvement.
* NDIS Financial Regulations: Strong knowledge of NDIS financial regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements is preferred but not mandatory.
* Industry Experience: Experience in the disability or aged care sector is advantageous but not essential.
* Financial Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Xero, PRODA, PACE).
* Accounting Principles: A solid understanding of accounting principles and revenue recognition standards.
* Certification: CPA/CA certification or progress toward CPA/CA eligibility is a plus.
* Clearance: Must possess or be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance.
