About the Job
This role involves providing timely and effective IT support to users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Key responsibilities include:
* Providing first-level technical support to users via phone, email or in-person
* Responding to user requests and resolving non-complex technical issues in a timely manner
* Supporting the setup and configuration of computer systems, printers, multifunction devices, smartphones, tablets and other IT systems using documented procedures
* Creating and maintaining technical documentation using approved templates to assist others in restoring services
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field (desirable)
* Experience working on a Service Desk within an organization of similar size and complexity
* Demonstrated customer service experience
* Working understanding of IT service management principles and practices
* Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
