About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to embark on a Turf Management
Apprenticeship, focusing on the preparation and maintenance of cricket wickets.
Under the guidance of the Service Coordinator Turf Wickets and experienced Turf
Wicket Curators, you'll gain hands-on experience while pursuing a Certificate
III in Sports Turf Management.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist
in preparing and maintaining turf wickets and practice facilities to the
highest standards.
* Identify
and manage turf pests and diseases.
* Implement
contemporary turf management and irrigation practices.
* Ensure
compliance with safety protocols and maintenance of equipment.
* Maintain
accurate records related to turf management activities.
* Participate
in training across various horticultural disciplines.

About
you

To
be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated knowledge and
understanding of the following:

* A
genuine interest in turf maintenance and a commitment to completing a
Certificate III in Sports Turf Management.
* Prior
experience in related fields is advantageous but not essential.
* Current
Victorian driver's licence (required prior to commencement).
* Ability
to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with
colleagues and the public.
* Willingness
to engage in both on-the-job training and formal education components of
the apprenticeship.

You may be required to
undertake practical
testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity
assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.

The successful
candidate will be asked to produce a clear Working with Children Check and will
be asked toconsent to a national police
check (and where relevant an 'international criminal history check'), subject
to the operation of spent conviction laws. Please note that people with
