North Mandurah Primary School is seeking a pool of Special Needs Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies that may arise during the **** school year and up to the end of Term 2, ****.
Role Overview
Suitable applicants will be empathetic, caring, flexible and initiative to assist with the modification and maintenance of the learning environment.
As an Education Assistant Special Needs (EASN) applicants should possess high interpersonal skills and provide feedback on educational programs.
Applicants will support students and classes across a wide range of curriculum areas and year levels within the school.
Responsibilities
Assist the teacher in the delivery of planned education programs to support students to reach their full potential.
Support students and classes across a wide range of curriculum areas and year levels.
Work independently, including at times without direct supervision, and respond promptly to challenging behaviours.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other professionals to implement educational and therapy programmes.
Qualifications & Experience
Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
Experience working with students with special needs is highly regarded.
Sound judgement, initiative and the capacity to respond to challenging behaviours.
Passion and commitment to helping students achieve their best.

Eligibility
Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
