**Lead Student Support Specialist**
At our institution, we are seeking an experienced leader to spearhead the Student Learning and Support Department. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the strategic development and implementation of student support services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide leadership and supervision to the student learning and support team, promoting clear direction and staff development.
2. Foster collaboration with stakeholders to create a positive and effective team environment.
3. Oversee the application of expertise in specialised support services for students, ensuring best practices and consistent implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
4. Coordinate and manage resources and staff to deliver effective support and extension programs for students.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements, including data collection and audits.
6. Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the department's operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and active involvement in their local Church.
* Knowledge of and commitment to child safety in an education setting.
* Current Working with Children Check.
* NESA teacher registration and post-graduate qualifications in special education.
* Substantial experience in leading a team in specialised support services for students.
* Demonstrated experience in building processes and systems that support funding and compliance requirements.
