Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Senior Workshop Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of mentoring and guiding teams, as well as experience in workshop management and tool maintenance.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our service department. This includes assigning jobs and work areas to team members based on their skills and knowledge, as well as assisting with the appraisal of repair orders and participating in repairs when necessary.
* Assigning jobs and work areas to Service Department employees
* Assisting in the appraisal of repair orders
* Participating in repairs and reviewing repair orders for accuracy and completeness
* DIRECTING AND ASSISTING IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF MACHINE PROBLEMS
* Inspecting and repairing special tools and recommending new tooling as required
* Advising the Service Manager or the Service Location Manager of all customer complaints
* Coordinating and scheduling in-house technician training
* Assisting the Service Manager or Service Location Manager with coordinating and conducting quarterly safety meetings
* Filling the Service Manager or Service Location Manager role in their absence
* Arranging for and participating in reconditioning used equipment and setting up new equipment
* Approving the release of equipment for delivery to the customer
* Providing performance feedback for service technicians and staff to the Service Manager or Service Location Manager
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* 3+ years' experience as a Service Technician
* Ability to lead others and provide guidance and support
* Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products
* Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
* Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
* High School Diploma or equivalent experience
