People & Culture Manager – Operations A leading manufacturing organisation in the South Gippsland region is seeking a dynamic and hands-on People & Culture Manager – Operations to partner with frontline leaders and managers to drive a high-performance culture, employee engagement, and operational excellence. Providing coaching and support to managers on employee performance, development, and relations issues. Managing core HR activities including absenteeism, transfers, exit interviews, and performance management processes. Delivering timely and accurate reporting and analytics to support business decisions. Supporting talent identification and development planning in collaboration with operational leaders. Contributing to change initiatives, including restructuring and capability-building programs. Advising managers on HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment legislation. Facilitating workforce planning activities and recruitment approvals in partnership with Talent Acquisition. Participating in broader HR projects and contributes to continuous improvement efforts. What we’re looking for: Degree in human resources, business, or a related field (preferred). At least 2 years of experience in a HR Business Partner or equivalent role. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the organisation. Sound understanding of industrial relations legislation and its application in the workplace. Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and judgment. Skills in engaging frontline leaders and employees. Strong Excel and reporting skills, with experience in fast-paced or customer-focused environments considered advantageous.
