About the Role
We're seeking a Corporate Credit Analyst to join a global finance team and report directly to the Credit Manager. This permanent role is crucial in supporting the business by analyzing the risk level of customer and vendor credit applications and contributing to their ultimate approval, ensuring expected risk loss targets are met.
This role is highly analytical, requiring an understanding of various sectors and sophisticated financial analysis to manage the risks and rewards of vendor, dealer, and customer relationships. You will collaborate across functions, including sales, risk management, legal, and asset management.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis: Undertake financial analysis and modelling for new and existing clients across key sectors like Agriculture, Construction, Transport, Industrial, Healthcare, Energy Transition, Office equipment, and Tech Finance.
- Risk Assessment: Analyze risk (financial, asset, market, security, legal, and contractual) and review/re-rate customers, end users, local vendors, or local dealers.
- Credit Reporting & Decisioning: Write comprehensive credit application reports, decide on applications within delegated authority, and present sound recommendations to higher decisioning authorities/Credit Committees.
- Policy & Compliance: Advise, prepare, and participate in local Credit Committee decision-making. Monitor and advise on credit/risk profiles, corporate/external policies, and regulations. Contribute to developing local credit and risk management policies and guidelines.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Liaise with all back-office functions, sales/account management, legal, and asset management. Provide information and support to align front- and back-office teams on credit and risk management policies and processes.
About You
- Qualification: Degree in accounting, finance, commerce or related field.
- Experience: Must have 3 years of relevant experience in asset/equipment finance.
- Authority: Must have held a personal delegated lending authority (DLA) of at least AUD500K.
- Technical Knowledge: Advanced financial analysis skills. Expert understanding of PPSR (Personal Property Securities Register) application and understanding of documentation, security, and legal processes.
- Sector Understanding: Strong understanding of Vendor-based and Dealer-based asset finance partnerships, covering both commercial objectives and risk management principles.
- Communication: Excellent comprehension, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Work Ethic: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, handle high work volumes, and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. A team player with a consultative approach and strong problem-solving skills.
