A long term position has become available assisting with the daily care and upkeep of goats.
The ideal candidate would have some farming experience but more importantly have a love for animals and experience in caring for them.
These are not farmed goats they are entirely pets, so finding somebody long term is a must.
Duties and responsibilities include:
· Feeding out grain and cleaning grain troughs.
· Help with hoof trimming and other treatments.
· Water runs and cleaning water troughs.
· Caring for any sick goats and administering medications – if needed
· Keeping record of any treatments or medications given.
· Other general farm duties.
· Running errands ie. - trips into town.
The position is Full time, however, hours may be negotiated for the right person. Casual hourly rates leading to possible salary, if desired.
A three bedroom home and a work vehicle will be provided as part of the package.
This position may also potentially be suitable for a couple. As we also run a sheep and cattle farming business, there may be further opportunities for positions such as farm managers, station hands, maintenance persons, truck and machinery operators and so on. So, if you both have the right level of experience we would consider hiring a couple.
